About Mary Nighthawk

Mary Nighthawk is a mother of 4, grandmother of 10, and 

great-grandmother of 13. She enjoys ancient history, museums,

antique shops, art galleries, music, dancing and Summer. Hawaii is her special inspiration. Especially Hawaiian slack key guitar music. Many of her paintings were inspired, also, by the people, jungles, beaches and the volcano of the Big Island.

Presently she resides outside of Houston, Texas with her eldest daughter, a toy poodle and her beloved cat Arsee. It’s a picturesque area where she enjoys the beauty of a sparkling lake and stunning sunsets under tall pines and elegant maple trees. A perfect place to start a new book! bedtime stories for kids
